Circuit city
comp usa

hp laptops LOADED with all you will ever need for $500-$800

You can get them refurbished and shit for like $350

There is nothing in a mac justifying $1000 or more, you could buy 3 pcs and compute circles around for same price and triple you output of cd production. Plus you would have access to thousands of freeware apps for pc... some windows 3.1 stuff runs in xp... I have never paid anything for software, can a mac do that?

are you serious? pc's are a waste of money, time and production. i can run windows on both of my macs, but why the hell would i want to. if you ever used an intel based leopard super-powered MAC, you would never be saying these senseless things on a public forum.

pc's are like daryl hall and john oats playing with Dead.

a MAC is like Branford Marsalis jammin with the Dead.

With a pc I only need to post once. Leapord skin ipod with vibrator what? How much did that cost, surely more than a $388 pc that I can run 24 cd quality audio tracks at the same time while typing this? What the hell more do you need and again, how much? $$$ Isn't it about bang for the buck? We are not building missile defense systems, just media machines. Come back, that hybrid battery is throwing off your eletrolite balance.

update

I just went to "the store" that is where you have to buy their stuff, not many competing retailers to drive prices down (ouch) nothing under a grand but gift cards and mousepads. I'll pass man, I'll waste money on a car but not a computer I can go cheapo with the same results as people that I know that have macs. Sorry dude, been into computers since my commodore vic 20, shopping, comparing NEEDED features, etc. There is no reason someone not familiar enough with the difference to go plunging hard earned cash into a personality cult.
